How to Create MLA Formatting for Your Papers Using Microsoft WordTo create MLA formatting for your papers, from your tool bar click View, click on Header and Footer, then click the right alignment icon on your tool bar. Next, type your last name, and then hit the space bar once. At the Header and Footer menu bar, click the page # icon (first one on the left). Close the Header and Footer menu bar. Next, from your tool bar, click on Format, Paragraph. Go to Line Spacing, and, using the arrow, scroll to Double. Click OK. Hit the Enter key. At the left-hand margin, type your name; on the next line type your instructor's name; on the next line type the course name, number, and section number; then on the next line type the date you turn in your paper. On the next line type the title of your paper, centered on the line. Hit the Enter key to begin typing the paper. After you hit the Enter key, you will have to click on the left alignment icon. |
