The following are some resources for teaching philosophy at the university level.

        General:

American Association of Philosophy Teachers - includes a listserv and newsletter.

UC Berkeley's Teaching Resources - for TAs, not specific to philosophy.

Cornell's Center for Teaching Excellence - lots of tips and ideas for designing courses, not specific to philosophy.

Teach Philosophy 101 - a very extensive site.

American Philosophical Association's Teaching Resources page.

The Open Syllabus Project - Lots of syllabuses plus statistical evaluations (e.g., what is the most assigned textbook for a Introduction to Philosophy course, etc.)


        Topic Specific:

American Society for Aesthetics - numerous links and on-line articles on teaching aesthetics.

The Foundation For Critical Thinking - includes essays on teaching critical thinking and many other resources.

            - collection of articles dealing with the ethics of college teaching.

Schneewind, J. B., ed., Teaching New Histories of Philosophy, (University Center for Human Values, 2004).
            - collection of articles on teaching history of philosophy.

There was also a series of books on teaching ethics entitled "The Teaching of Ethics" and published by The Hastings Center around 1980. It contained roughly a dozen volumes, many specific to a certain area of applied ethics (e.g., one on teaching ethics in the military, one on teaching bioethics, etc.).
