The AWRA Louisiana Section holds monthly luncheon meetings featuring speakers on a wide range of water resources issues.

Annual Symposium
The AWRA Louisiana Section holds an annual Fall Symposium.
Field Trips
In association with the student chapters, the AWRA Louisiana Section has sponsored
field trips to locations of interest to water resource professionals.
National Activities
Through their Louisiana Section, members maintain contact with the National organization,
as well as the activities of our neighboring State Sections.
MEMBERSHIP
Louisiana Section AWRA Membership categories
- Regular Member - Persons interested in any aspect of water resources are
invited to become regular members of the Louisiana Section of the AWRA with full voting rights.
- National Member - National membership is encouraged, but not required, for Louisiana
Section members.
National members receive the "AWRA Water Resources Bulletin," the National newsletter, Hydata,
discounted prices on National publications and registration fees, and the annual National
membership directory.
- Student Chapters - Students engaged in the study of any aspect of water resources at any
Louisiana college or university are eligible to join a student chapter established at their institution.
Student chapter members may participate in the Louisiana Section's Student Research Award Program.
Additionally, they may attend Louisiana Section meetings and Symposia at reduced rates.
