Academic Dishonesty
All work done for this class should be your own. If you use anyone else's words or ideas in your work, you are expected to document that fact appropriately in your own paper. Any violation of this principle will result in a grade of zero for the assignment, and the case will be forwarded to the Dean of Students for further possible action, as indicated by the policy in the Undergraduate Bulletin, p. 444.

Absence Policy
University policy is that you may miss 10% of the class meetings without serious consequences.  Subsequent absences will cause your grade to suffer.  No make-up tests will be given unless you tell me in advance of class that you will be absent for some (important) reason. Students who habitually arrive late and/or leave class early will be marked as absent on the days either occurs.

Specific Rules on Behavior

  1. Students must wait 24hrs before questioning instructor on a received assignment grade.
  2. Students will be respectful and mindful of their fellow classmates, environment, instructor, and the task at hand.  In turn, the instructor will be respectful of the students.

Americans With Disabilities Act Compliance Statement
It is the policy of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to afford equal opportunity in education to qualified students. If you have a disability that may prevent you from meeting course requirements, contact the instructor immediately to file a student disability statement and to develop an accommodation plan. Course requirements will not be waived but reasonable accommodations will be developed to assist you in meeting the requirements.

Emergency Evacuation Procedure:
A map of this floor is posted throughout the building. This map marks the evacuation route and the Designated Rescue Area. This area is where emergency service personnel will go first to look for individuals who need assistance exiting the building. Students who may need assistance should identify themselves to the faculty.
