Submission of Mini-Symposium Proposals
(Deadline EXTENDED: August 25, 2023)

Please follow the SIAM guidelines for preparing a mini-symposium proposal. Each oral presentation will be 25 minutes long with 5 minutes Q&A.

Mini-symposia will consist of up to 3 sessions. Each session will consist of 4 talks. You may propose between 1 session (up to 4 talks), 2 sessions (up to 8 talks), or up to a maximum of 3 sessions (up to 12 talks). We recommend selecting 1 or 2 sessions. Note that a single participant may give at most 2 talks in 2 different mini-symposia.

Please use 'Mini-symposium proposal submission (name of main contact organizer)' as the subject line and fill in the following six curly brackets in the body of the email.

\title{Proposed title of your mini-symposium}
\organizers{Name1 (Affiliation1) and Name2 (affiliation2) and Name3 (affiliation3)}
\email{Only one email address of the main contact organizer is needed}
\abstract{Provide a brief (1 paragraph) description of the mini symposium}
\speakers{Provide a list of tentative/preliminary speakers (if available). Use the same format as under organizers}
\session{1, 2, or 3}
\remarks{Please use this item to indicate how many speakers you have contacted and how many tentative confirmations you have obtained. Also indicate (if any) any date-constraints or preferences on the block schedule of your minisymposium.}

Standard LaTeX commands (but no custom macros) must be used in these fields.

Before submitting your proposal, we encourage you to contact the potential speakers on your list and obtain (if possible) tentative confirmations as well as date preferences/constraints from them. We understand that many speakers cannot make final decisions before the exact block schedule of the minisymposium is available. However, it is important to have an estimate on the number of confirmed speakers and obtain the date preferences or constraints from the speakers before we schedule the minisymposium.

Please submit your proposal to siamtxla2023@louisiana.edu before the deadline EXTENDED: August 25, 2023.

Confirmed speakers should submit talks to the mini-symposium organizer using the following format:
