"The Paddock"

A late afternoon view of the newly "completed" fence. Cody is excitedly stalking who-knows-what at the pond edge.

Left: Scott is in his wellies ready for trash pick-up duty out in-and-beyond the muddy paddock.

Above: But first, what are those birds up there?

Turtles enjoying the warm sun on the pond edge, or is this a more sinister strategy session?

In the photos above and below, you can see why we now call the yard "The Paddock." Cody (front, center) is our lone "livestock." She loves the paddock and the pond.

A view of the back of the house from our bird feeding area (can you spot the suet in this photo?) showing the gradual transition between the privacy fence and the split rail fence. No views of the pond are blocked for us or our neighbors.

The bird-feeding corner, with Cody in the background and Patty beyond the fence cleaning the purple martin house of house sparrow nesting attempts.

It is the first week of March and trees are budding, tulip trees and dogwoods blooming, and the moss is greening.

Another angle of the back yard showing on the right the transition between the privacy fence by the large bathroom window and the split rail fence.

The photographically neglected "far" corner of the yard. This is next to the "east wing" of the house.

The sunroom - looking a little more lived in - in the late afternoon.
