Travel Funding Support

The National Science Foundation has provided funds for the financial support of a limited number of students and early career researchers (junior faculty and postdoctoral fellows) who have no travel support to attend ICMA-VIII.

Each award includes a registration waiver, per diem for up to four days, (up to) $640 for travel and local transportation, and up to 3 nights lodging at (a maximum of) $115 per night (single occupancy) for junior faculty and postdoctoral students (a maximum of) $78 per night (double occupancy) for students. Women and members of other underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

Eligible participants can submit an application, before the application deadline of September 1, 2022. Decisions will be made by September 12, 2022.

If you previously submitted a traveling funding application (any submission prior to 03/28/2022), before the new submission deadline please resubmit the funding request form. Otherwise, any submission received prior to 03/28/2022 will be disregarded. Letters of recommendation and CVs do not need to be resubmitted, though either may be resubmitted if there are significant changes.

There are two or three parts to the request for funding.

  1. Complete this funding request form.
  2. Email a copy of your CV to us at icma2022@louisiana.edu.
  3. If you are a student, ask your advisor to email a letter of recommendation to us at icma2022@louisiana.edu.
Letters of recommendation must be received by 1 September, 2022 to ensure consideration.

Note that this is a separate process from registration for the conference.
